Completion Requirements

Master (Requirements):

  • The program has a maximum length of 30 months;
  • Minimum of 30 (thirty) credits, of which 06 (six) correspond to the dissertation activities;
  • 01 (one) semester Teaching Internship;
  • Proof of English language proficiency (must be completed by the end of the second term);
  • Passing the qualification exam (must be done by the end of the third term)
  • Mandatory public defense of the dissertation through an oral presentation and published at least 07 (seven) days in advance

 

Doctorate (Requirements):

  • The program has a maximum length of 60 months;
  • Minimum of 60 (sixty) credits, of which 12 (twelve) correspond to thesis activities
  • 02 (two) semesters Teaching Internship
  • Proof of English language proficiency (must be completed by the end of the second term);
  • Passing the qualification exam (must be done by the end of the fourth term)
  • Mandatory public defense of a thesis by means of an oral presentation and disclosed at least 07 (seven) days in advance

 

Didactic Regime for conclusion

  • It will be considered approved in the curricular component, the student who presents frequency equal or superior to seventy-five percent (75%) of the developed activities and final grade equal to or superior to five (5.0), or approved concept.
  • Enrollment in the academic dissertation or thesis activity requires the student cumulatively:

I – approval in all mandatory subjects of the curriculum matrix;

II – final average, measured by the Coefficient of Income (CR), equal to or greater than seven (7.0);

III – approval in academic activity proficiency in a foreign language;

IV – passing the qualification exam;

 

Termination of the student’s link to the Graduate Program:

  • The current academic control system terminates the enrollment of the student in the stricto sensu graduate program if he/she fits in one of the following conditions:

I – If he/she fails twice in any curricular component, including foreign language proficiency and qualifying examination;

II – If he/she has not enrolled in any curricular component in the current academic term;

III – If he/she elapses the maximum deadline established by the program’s collegiate board.

IV – If he/she fails the dissertation or thesis defense.
