March 08th, 2005 - Our Student Eduardo B. Barros received a Ribbon Award from Materials Research Society (USA). His manuscript Raman spectroscopy studies of carbon foams was selected as an outstanding contribution. Ribbon Awards are given to the top 5% of manuscripts as selected by the organizers of each symposium. Congratulations Eduardo!

Jan 10th, 2005 - By combining structural and spectroscopic techniques we have addressed how the decomposition process of ternary layered double hydrotalcite compounds takes place. This work is part of the Daniel Xavier's PhD thesis. This work has been done in colaboration with Laboratório de Química do Estado Sólido - LQES - UNICAMP- SP.
