| Important note (05/21/2008): If you are experiencing problems in paying the registration fee, these are the probable reasons: (i) Some of credit cards require previous authorization for making transactions in some territories. Please contact your credit card office and ask them to authorize your transaction. (ii) The system "Verify By Visa" is adopted in Brazil for online transactions, and you will only succeed if your credit card is compatible with this system. Please contact Ms Roberta Cavalcante at roberta@ikone.com.br in case you have further problems regarding the payment of registration fee.

| Important note (04/21/2008): When we first released this homepage with the registration fees in last September, the dollar exchange rate was 1US$ = 1.90 BRL. Since every online credit card operation is performed in local currency, we have to freeze the exchange rate before making the online payment available. The conference fees that will be charged to your credit card (only VISA) were calculated with the following exchange rate 1US$ = 1.81 BRL. Due to strong decrease of the dollar exchange rate in comparison to other currencies, we cannot assume lower rates because our costs are fixed in local currency. |

The regular/student registration fee includes: (i)
participation in all scientific sessions, (ii) abstract/reference
manual and complimentary materials, (iii) welcome reception,
(iv) mid-sessions refreshments and (v) conference
excursion.
The registration fee for accompanying persons includes: (i) welcome reception, (ii) mid-sessions refreshments
and (iii) conference excursion.
*Students
must offer a proof of their status (a letter of the advisor or any
academic authority, send with registration or at the start of the
conference).

| Advance Registration |
|
Participants who pay advance registration will
benefit from the lower cost and the knowledge that all the Conference
documentation will be ready on their arrival. Each registrant is requested
to register separately. The organizing committee will welcome if the
authors of accepted contributions register in advance (before May 31,
2008).

| Payment Methods
|
Credit cards and cash will be accepted.
Advance registrations are only possible with credit card (VISA).
An online payment method will appear in the abstract submission system soon. On site registration can be made only with cash.

| Cancellations |
- Substitutions are
allowed at any time, but please advise in advance the Conference
Secretariat.
- If a written notice is
received by May 31, 2008 a full refund will be given less a 20% of
administration and bank charges.
- If the written notice
is received by June 30, 2008 a 50% refund will be given. We are
sorry that cancellations after this date are liable for the full
registration fee.
